The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level developed for intervention encounters a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize use of status sassa Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
